Murchison Falls National Park

Murchison Falls National Park, Uganda’s largest and oldest conservation area, spans approximately 3,893 square kilometers in the northwestern part of the country. Established in 1952, it is renowned for the breathtaking Murchison Falls, where the Nile River squeezes through a 7-meter-wide gorge and plunges 43 meters into a powerful cascade. The park boasts diverse ecosystems, including savannah, woodlands, and riverine forests, supporting over 76 mammal species and 450 bird species. It is one of Uganda’s premier safari destinations, offering a variety of wildlife experiences.
